Unity Ceremony: IvyMay Fiddle Leaf Fig
Meet Tess, one of the coolest & down-to-earth souls we have the pleasure of knowing. Tess is an Aussie mom & a wedding photographer in Southern California. Her husband, Josh, is one of the funniest & laid back guys you'll ever meet. They're perfect for one another, and we wholeheartedly mean that. You can find them hanging out with their Australian Shepherd, Bolt, or adventuring National Parks on the weekend. When they asked us for a baby Fiddle Leaf Fig to include in her unity ceremony, we were so incredibly honored.

When asked why they chose a plant for the unity ceremony, here's what Tess had to say:
As a wedding photographer I’ve seen a lot of unity ceremonies, some of which have been so unique to the couple. I love all of my plant babies and when I was thinking of something for our unity ceremony, a baby fiddle leaf fig seemed like the perfect thing! We both sprinkled some soil on top as the perfect symbolism for us, something that starts out small but grows with each passing year, much like our marriage will.
It’s no surprise that more and more people are buying indoor plants this year, they make any indoor space so much more vibrant and comfortable. In a way, our unity plant not only symbolizes our growing marriage and relationship, but also the year that it started. We both added soil to our little unity fig tree during our wedding ceremony, and each time it needs to be repotted we’ll do that together too. My deepest wish is to be able to plant it in the yard of our future home.
